Grab a wicker basket and join the tour of Joy of Illinois Farm as we look for wild plants and herbs that are edible and delicious. Take them home and make teas, salads, and more.
Bring your own brown bag lunch. Dessert will be provided, featuring some of our edible wild plants.

Barnyard sing-along and dance-along for the little ones and their parents!
Join Farmer Penny and friends and have fun learning to wiggle, bob, leap and strut as do the animals at Joy of Illinois Farm!
Live music will accompany the barnyard crooning and whirling.

KIDS’ FEATHER CRAFTS

Parents are welcome to stay.
In this class, kids will learn about the feathered fowl we raise on the farm and the properties of their feathers, and will have the opportunity to create crafts using feathers. Projects will include crafting feather quills, feathery headbands, and miniature feathered Christmas trees.
